Oatey's World-Class Training Facility
Oatey University is a training center dedicated to education, research and hands-on practice in support of the trades.
Our 20,000-square-foot facility, located in the heart of Cleveland, Ohio, was developed by our expert team of plumbing specialists for robust in-person and remote learning. We offer full-size mockups of various jobsite settings, including a hotel bathroom and a residential rough-in plumbing system, where individuals can perform installations and earn continuing education credits/certifications.
The facility houses two interactive labs for solvent welding and heating/chemical applications. There is also a large classroom on site designed for lecture-style learning, meetings, community events and more.
Whether an apprentice learning the trade, an experienced professional refining a technique or a business partner seeking product knowledge, Oatey University has something for every skill level.

Solvent Welding Training & Certification
Learn proper solvent welding techniques to cure the perfect pipe joint in accordance with ASME B31.3 requirements. With years of extensive research and product development under our belt, the Oatey team knows first-hand the challenges professionals face when solvent welding and is committed to helping you through every step of the process.
“The Fix” Podcast Studio
We record our podcast episodes directly from Oatey University, where we’ve built a podcast studio that celebrates the tradespeople who use our products each and every day. Each episode of “The Fix” features a conversation that helps support tradespeople, promote education, foster innovation and inspire the next generation of essential pros.
Continuing Education Courses
We conveniently offer a range of State of Ohio CEU courses at Oatey University, including hands-on technical application training and personalized plant tours, so you can refresh and expand your skills with ease. Individuals can earn credits in increments of two, four and eight hours.
Community Engagement
Oatey University provides the ideal venue for Oatey to connect with local communities and organizations. We support education by welcoming students, instructors, apprentices and others looking to advance their plumbing skills to receive real, expert advice and training. In addition, we open our versatile space to industry groups to host events, gatherings and more.
Associate Training
To ensure Oatey team members are educated on plumbing applications and the latest industry technology, we host regular associate training sessions at Oatey University. Associates work closely with our technical applications managers (and experienced plumbers) to gain hands-on experience, ask questions and expand their knowledge.

As part of our commitment to supporting the trades, Oatey regularly hosts industry professionals, organizations and influencers at Oatey University. From trade media to social media influencers and nonprofits, Oatey University provides the perfect location to connect and invest in the industry.
Recent Oatey University Experiences
Tile Installer Summit
In August, Oatey hosted our inaugural Tile Installer Summit, a new event that brought together tile installer influencers nationwide. Hosted at Oatey University, this exclusive gathering provided these influential individuals with an immersive experience centered around hands-on training on Oatey products, with a special emphasis on the QuickDrain shower system.
Ambassador Fest
In June, we hosted our third annual Ambassador Fest event at Oatey University. A key perk of our award-winning social media Ambassador Program, Ambassador Fest is two-day immersive event for Oatey Ambassadors, focused on providing Ambassadors with robust training and hands-on experiences to enhance and expand their skills as tradespeople and digital content creators.
